Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American model and actress. A talent agent discovered her talent and convinced her to go after a career as an actor or model. After much consideration the decision was made to leave the university to enter the world of entertainment. When she was disappointed with her appearance when she entered the industry, she made her film debut in Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. She put in a lot of effort to improve her acting abilities and appeared in a number of low-budget films in order to show her abilities. The perseverance and determination paid off.
