Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on these cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. Her work in Charleston was the reason she joined as a co-anchor, reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. As well as her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well contributes to Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
